We will provide you with an access key code before arrival. This will allow you to check yourself in to the property. Please ensure you have the code before you travel. If not, please contact us at support@basecampresort.com. There’s nothing worse than arriving somewhere new (potentially at night) and not being able to get in!
Check-in time is 3pm. We can sometimes arrange an early check-in so please contact us if you will arrive early and we’ll do our best, without any promises. If you are arriving early, have a look at the Local Area Guide section. We’ve listed lots of things to do around the area – it’s time for you to kick back and start relaxing!

If you arrive early, take a minute and spend some time at Bridget’s Basket, which is only a mile down the road going towards Hunt, TX. The Hunt Store is also a popular place to grab a bite to eat and stock up on cold beverages. We haven’t tried it yet, but there’s a wine bar in Ingram that recently called Joanne, Marie and Me. If you don’t mind about a 10 minute drive, there’s lots of options in Kerrville. Some of our favorites are Grape Juice and Pint and Plow.
The Dishwasher: It’s very simple, we promise! We provide a supply of tablets – you will need to insert one into the flip box container on the inside of the dishwasher door. Then press the program button of your choice – there are a few settings which are obvious – then press the start button.
The Fridge/freezer: You should not need to adjust any settings. If you run into any difficulties (e.g. it’s not cooling efficiently) please let us know.
The Cooktop and Oven: The cooktop and oven are both electric.
Both TVs are using Hulu through the Smart TV for local channels. Feel free to use your own apps on the TVs, but please remember to log out before you leave. This will ensure other guests aren’t using your account. It’s difficult for us to check this so please let us know if you need to remove any information after you leave.
We have an outdoor hot tub available for your use on the back deck. Please note that this will be heated on your arrival.
There is an outdoor grill available for your use. It’s powered by propane gas and we do check before each guest arrives that it has sufficient gas for your stay. If it runs out please let us know. Please ensure you leave it clean to avoid any additional cleaning fees.
We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately – if it’s minor we usually won’t charge. If it’s a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to agree the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!
This is a smoke-free home, including the outside area surrounding property. No smoking of any substance including vaping.
This is a pet friendly property. Please pick up your pets business before you leave to avoid additional cleaning fees.
For emergency services (ambulance, police, fire) please immediately call 911. Do not delay if you feel an emergency situation has arisen. State your location as the address on the front page of this book.

Check-out time is strictly 11am. Should you require a later check-out we will do our best but you need to let us know beforehand. If we have guests arriving that day it will be almost impossible to offer a late check-out due to the cleaners needing to prepare for those guests.
