Basecamp is a family-owned retreat property near Kerrville, designed for small groups who want a few days away together. Book the whole property, and your group has The Lodge for meetings and meals, plus cabins and glamping tents that give everyone a quiet place of their own.
Many retreat properties rely on shared rooms, bunkhouses or a block of hotel rooms. A whole-property booking at Basecamp gives your team nine separate accommodations with 12 private bedrooms between them: five glamping tents, three one-bedroom cabins and four bedrooms in The Lodge. For many small boards and leadership teams, that means each attendee can have a room of their own.
The Lodge gives the group a central place for working sessions, meals and conversation, while the cabins and glamping tents give attendees private space of their own. Every accommodation has its own hot tub, fire pit, and heat and air conditioning.

Near Kerrville
A retreat doesn’t have to end when the working session does. Between meetings, your group can kayak or fish on the three-acre lake, walk the half-mile trail, spend time by the pool or head down to Basecamp’s Guadalupe River access.
In the evening, gather around a fire pit or let everyone have some time on their own before the next day begins. There’s plenty to do without having to build an activity schedule around it.
Basecamp sits on the Hunt/Ingram line in the Texas Hill Country, about 20 minutes from Kerrville. It’s approximately 1½ hours from San Antonio and approximately 2½ hours from Austin, depending on traffic and where you’re starting. San Antonio International Airport is the closest major airport for anyone flying in.
